Physical products

A physical product refers to a tangible item that can be touched and stored, such as clothing, home goods, or electronics. These products typically require inventory management and delivery through shipping or logistics.

Add a physical product

Steps

1. Log in to the Genstore admin, navigate to Products -> Add product -> Physical products.
2. Set product name, subtitle, description, and images:
   • Images: Add product images by dragging them into the Media section or clicking to upload. Multiple images are supported, and you can rearrange them.
   • Description: Supports rich text formatting for detailed product descriptions.
3. Product category: Select the appropriate category for the product.
4. Product variants: Supports multiple variants such as color, size, and style, which can be customized as needed.
5. SKU (Stock Keeping Unit): Assign a unique SKU to each product variant for accurate inventory tracking. By default, inventory tracking is disabled and SKU or barcode information is not required. To enable these settings, click Set the product SKU or barcode to expand and fill in the details.
6. Pricing & inventory: Set the product’s price and inventory quantity. The system will automatically track inventory changes. By default, only the base price is required. To add cost price, compare-at price, or other pricing details, click More pricing settings.
7. Shipping & customs info: Enter the product’s weight to calculate shipping rates. For international shipping, customs information can also be added. By default, customs info is not required. Once you check Add customs details, fields for Country/Region of origin and HS code will appear for you to complete.

For additional settings, refer to the Add product page. Once setup is complete, click Save to publish the product.

Manage physical products

Edit a physical product

1. In the Product list page, locate the product you want to edit and click Edit.
2. Modify the necessary fields, such as product description, inventory, and pricing.
3. Click Save to apply the changes.

Remove a physical product

1. In the Product list page, find the product you want to delete and click Delete.
2. You can also select multiple products for bulk deletion.
3. Click Confirm in the popup to proceed, and the product will be removed from the store.
